UT-Memphis Allied Health Sciences Letters from Supporting Institutions |

Brittany Rinehart, a UT audiology major, started a petition drive in early June after the original announcement by UT that the ASP programs were to be cut.
She collected thousands of signatures from people across the community and country.
On Friday, August 22, Brittany took the petition, with over 3000 signatures, to UT President John Petersen's office.
The petition reads:
"Save the Audiology and Speech Pathology Department at the University of Tennessee
The University of Tennessee is proposing to phase out the Audiology and Speech Pathology Department, including the Audiology Clinic, Child Impaired Services, and the educational program for undergraduate and graduate students.
If you believe that the University should keep this Department in all of its entirety please sign your name below.
